Tip #413:  Proofread addresses carefully, especially place names.  An error in a single keystroke could create confusion, especially when cities with the same names are located in different states in the USA.  Here are some examples:

Aberdeen, MD Aberdeen, MS
Auburn, ME Auburn, NE
Berlin, NH Berlin, NJ
Brunswick, MD Brunswick, ME
China, ME China, MI

Please edit the following paragraph.  Give special attention to compound words, and plural possessives.

We had a similiar break down in communications last May when a high=level executive failed to inform us that the corporations attornies had advised against it’s proceding with merger negations.  However, that was only the tip of the iceburg. “
