Tip # 432: Spelling: The use of a computer spelling checker helps with spelling problems; however, it does not solve all spelling problems. The checker cannot detect a spelling error if the error spells a valid word; for example, if you mean “to” but accidentally write “too,” the spelling checker cannot detect the error. You still need to proofread your document. (I have learned this lesson many times.) |
