Tip #477: Can something be "more accurate" than something else? The word "accurate" comes from the Latin word "accuratus," which means "done with care." The Webster's New World Dictionary permits this sense for the word: adhering closely to a standard. Therefore, one thermometer could be "more accurate" than another. |
